A MAP TO CELEBRATE

Now available at kiosks across Chicago and on the web in PDF form, our map of buildings and landmarks designed and influenced by Daniel Burnham is helping to commemorate the city’s Centennial celebration of Burnham’s “Plan of Chicago” – one of the most influential documents in the history of American city planning.

Studio V Design partnered with Camiros Ltd. to design an architectural tour map which also serves as a historical document describing Burnham’s Plan and its historical impact on the development of Chicago and its famous lakefront.

Using a familiar folded roadmap format, the map is dense with information, yet easily accessible. One side features a walking tour of the downtown area, while the other side contains a larger scale driving map of the lakefront area most impacted by the Plan. The map is rich with many levels of information, including callout images that add plenty of visual interest.


TRAINING TO SELL SOLUTIONSDinex training

When an east coast healthcare supplier recently called us with a need to train their sales force prior to a new product launch, we realized after interviewing their top sales reps that a mind-shift had to occur first. Training needed to focus on how to sell SOLUTIONS, not just products.

Working only from interviews and assorted documents, we formulated from ground up a cohesive, comprehensive training program divided into 3 modules: explaining the company’s business strategy, 5 steps to selling solutions, and finally training for the new product.

In order to avoid another run-of-the-mill training deck, we filmed video clips of top sales reps sharing ideas, designed eye-catching PowerPoint slides, devised group role-playing exercises and developed a pocket guide booklet that included tips on addressing customer objections.


VIDEO SIZZLES AT TRADE SHOW

Hot off the press – or rather, the film editing floor: we just debuted an action-packed corporate video at a trade show in California, clearly demonstrating how one company can attract attention in a crowded and chaotic environment. Using Adobe After Effects to weave spinning graphics, vibrant images, energetic music and clear, concise brand messages into an exciting 3-minute loop, this video is the latest of our recent multimedia projects. <Watch>
